Prologue
For years Anna had been in love with him. Since high school, she knew she loved him. He was the bad boy that her parents warned her to stay away from. What 15 yr old girl listens to her parents when it comes to affairs of the heart?
Colt was from the ghetto's of Bridgeport. A broken home, son of a mob man. His mother ran out on them when we was a teen. He ran the streets, grew up hard. He watched his father die in his arms. He hated his mother, when he got word of her passing, he just laughed.
Colt and Anna were sweethearts, at least that's what she thought. Things had been going great till graduation. Anna thought she was grown up and knew all about men. So she went to Colt dressed in a way that sent the wrong message but she didn't know that. Colt got a job and he turned cold, hurtful and it scared her. She never told her parents, never got a chance. Weeks after graduations, her parents were killed in a car wreck.
After the funeral, Anna packed her bags and left Bridgeport. She traveled to Monte Vista, Dragon Valley, and Sunlit Tides. Her parents had a beach house there and she had great memories there. A few months later she received a call from Colt. A very different Colt. Yes he was still in the "business", but he missed her and loved her beyond words.
"My dearest Anna,
I heard about your parents and I wanted to come, but I knew you didn't want to see me. So I watched you from afar. My arms longing to hold you and make all your hurt go away.
I'm nothing without you. I felt so alive with you. I was so dumb and fucking stupid to treat you like one of the girls in the bar I was bouncing at. I thought if I kept you at arm's length, I wouldn't get hurt. But it was me that hurt you, in the worst way. I want to make it up to you. If you would only give me the chance. Enclosed you will find a key to a house in Appaloosa Plains. I just purchased it. It's empty and stay that way till I hear from you. I hope you will find it in your beautiful heart to forgive me. If you show up, then I know there's still a chance for us. Anna, I love you so much.
Yours forever,
Colt"
So now Anna's story picks up, Will she or Won't she?
